There are lots of rewards on offer for tracking your active and sustainable travel with the BetterPoints app.

Sign Up and Get Started

Earn 250 points just for downloading the app and taking our short baseline survey. This will unlock your rewards.

Run, Ride, Walk or Wheel

Earn 1 point per minute that you run, ride, walk or wheel, up to 60 minutes every day.

Take the bus or train

Earn 15 points for every bus or train journey you make over a quarter of a mile, up to four journeys per day.

Travel Sustainably to the Country Parks

Earn 150 BetterPoints each time you travel sustainably to Chatelhearault, Calderglen and Strathclyde Country Parks.

Travel Sustainably into Town

Get 20 BetterPoints every day you travel sustainably into the town centre in East Kilbride, Hamilton, Lanark and Rutherglen.

Leave the Car Star Prize

Every month we'll invite all participants to share their travel story. The best will be rewarded with 25,000 BetterPoints and shared in the app and on social media.

The BetterPoints you earn can be traded in for vouchers, donated to charity or spent online.

Challenge FAQs

The Think, Move, Breathe challenge is a free to join rewards program designed to help you get active, earn rewards and support local traders and charities. It rewards sustainable travel for commuting and leisure trips and encourages regular, healthy activity for residents and employees in Surrey. The challenge will run from Monday 17th January until Saturday 30th April 2022.
